Since 2010, Caroline has been researching into a movement practice called the Heart-Line Scores which overlays visualisation, sensing and conjuring of energy change with geometric precision, embracing the infinitesimal and the infinite, the internal and the external. Amy Voris has been a key collaborator throughout.
Stairs (2009)
In the words of architect and writer Juhani Pallasmaa ‘the staircase is closely related with the dreams of flight and falling.’ Three performers moved on journeys exploring: falling; climbing and dwelling between. The audience was moved to create, shifted perspectives, splicing the layered lines as they were revealed, hidden and remembered. The solidity and lightness of the richly detailed stairs were washed with the movement of body, shadow, air and sound.
